Main activities
Legal consulting and litigation with regard to technical issues, namely in the field of intellectual property law (patents, trademarks, designs, domains), technology transfer, licence and cooperation agreements, anti-trust and competition law. Legal issues relating to real estate and construction, namely consulting of and litigation for builder-owners, architects, (general) contractors. Consulting and litigation in the area of national and international commercial, corporate and labour law. Estate planning for small and medium enterprises, inheritance law, administration of estates.
Career
Master of Science (electrical engineering, degree 1984) at the ETH Zurich. Activity in a business consulting firm. Master of law at the University of Zurich (degree in 1990), at the same time activity in two renowned Zurich based patent firms. Admitted to the bar since 1992. Law internship at Linklaters in London (1993/1994). Practicing as self-employed attorney-at-law since 1995, since 2007 as partner with EBD. Member of the advisory committee of the Technopark Zurich from 2002 to 2012.
Since 2013 Member and since 2017 President of the Swiss Epilepsy Foundation.
